About Linda
Linda Ryynänen is a writer, artist, and poet living in Western Maryland. She originates from the territory of Sápmi, and descends from Karelia. Her poems have appeared online and in print, in a variety of publications including but not limited to The Swannanoa Review, Strange Hymnal, Allium: A Journal of Poetry and Prose, and Bear Review. She has worked for a variety of literary institutions, including the Rose O’Neil Literary House at Washington College, and currently reads for The Dodge. She runs a semi-successful poetry bookstagram, and works as a mental health practitioner with the goals to become an expressive arts therapist and provide poetry therapy to underserved populations. She is an immigrant first, daughter second, and poet third.
